Carla L. Flores passed away suddenly on February 3, 2026, at NCMC in Greeley, CO. Carla was born on April 5, 1942, in the San Luis Valley, CO to David and Genevieve (Lopez) Aragon. She had been a resident of Greeley, CO since 1967.
Her greatest joy in life were her two children, Jim and Janice Flores; her grandchildren, Vidal (VJ), Kayelee, and Trey Flores; and a great-granddaughter, Lilly.
Carla began her career at Aims Community College in the 1970s and later worked for many years at the Greeley Housing Authority until her retirement in 2010. She enjoyed bowling, cross stitching, cheering on the Broncos and Nuggets, and gardening. She has a remarkable gift for growing anything from a seed, including a maple tree that still stands tall in her backyard.
She is survived by her daughter, Janice (Tami); her brothers, Jimmie and Raymond Aragon (Margie); her grandchildren and great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jim; her mother, Genevieve Suazo; and her siblings, David Aragon, Gloria Pantello, Jimmy Aragon, and Carl Suazo.
Services will be held on Friday February 20, 2026, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greeley, with a Rosary at 10:30 am, Mass at 11:00 am and burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A luncheon will follow to celebrate Carla's life. Moser Funeral Service in Evans, CO is in charge of arrangements.
