Carlene Sue Rangel, 66, of Severance, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021 at her home.
Born on January 17th, 1955 to Carl and Florence (Wertz) Gemelke in Greeley. Mrs. Rangel graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1973. Upon graduation, Carlene met the love of her life- Ralph. On September 15th, 1973, Carlene married Ralph Anthony Rangel. That day started a love that would last 36 years, until sadly her husband Ralph departed this earth in 2009. Carlene worked at North Colorado Medical Center for over 20 years, as a PBX Operator. Throughout Carlene's life, she raised a beautiful family. Carlene enjoyed reading books, spending time with family, going on family vacations and cooking amazing food. She also enjoyed her many dogs, whom she loved so very much. Carlene leaves behind a legacy of beauty, love and compassion, not only for her children and grandson, but to every person that she met along her life. Carlene will be deeply missed by all that came into her life.
She is survived by her sons, David A. and Richard V. Rangel, a daughter Sarah M. Rangel (Eric Medina) a brother, Jack Gemelke, a sister, Phyllis Youngman, and a very special grandson, Matthew D. Stoneking. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph A. Rangel, and her parents, Carl & Florence Gemelke.
A celebration of Carlene's life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel.
