Carol Jean Palmer, 74, of Evans, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at her home. She was born December 19, 1936 to Harold and Marguerite (Lofgren) Waechter in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Carol attended school in Cheyenne and graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1956. She then attended the University of Wyoming. Carol worked for Bill Shade as a paralegal. Carol met Bill Palmer and they married on February 28, 1981 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She worked as bookkeeper and secretary with her husband Bill at Northern Colorado Scale Company. Survivors include her husband, Bill Palmer, her son, David Lee Conner of Windsor, 2 daughters, Carolyn Conner Rodman of Windsor and Judy Ridge of Black Hawk, Colorado; her brother, Jack Waechter (Alice) of Cheyenne, Wyoming and grandchildren, Jessica and Erin of California, Britain of Lakewood, Colorado and Chance of Windsor. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Marguerite Waechter, and her aunt, Gertrude Duff. No services are planned at this time.
