Carol Genola (Mullins) Robertson, age 75, of Evans, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016, at the Ashley Manor in Evans.
Carol was born on Aug. 30, 1940, in Exline, Iowa to Cyril and Opal (Mercer) Mullins. She graduated from Moravia Iowa High School in 1958. She married Harold Robertson in 1960 and they were later divorced in 1974. She moved to Colorado in 1976, where she raised her four young children and worked in various local companies as a clerical office worker. She retired from the University of Colorado due to Parkinson’s Disease in 1998 after 13 years as an Administrative Assistant.
She enjoyed many activities with friends and family, including dancing, the mountains, gardening, yard sales and having parties for friends. She belonged to “Parents without Partners” and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 6011 in Platteville.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jody; father, Cyril; and brother, Larry.
Survivors include her daughters, Robin Brock of Polo, MO, Michelle Montoya of Lochbuie, CO; son, Lance Robertson of Ault, CO; grandchildren, Shane Miller, Ashley Davidson, Marissa Salazar, Jennifer Montoya, Tim Robertson, Cassey Robertson; great-grandchildren, Kayleen Zavala, Khaila and Khloe Romero, Adonis Robertson, Allie Rose Miller, Brean and Gracelynn Davidson; mother, Opal Mullins of Iowa; brother, Roger Mullins; sister, Mary Joyce VeVerka; four nephews; aunts; uncles; and many cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, Aug. 8th followed by a Funeral Service at 1 p.m. all at Moser Funeral Service Chapel in Evans. Cremation will follow the service.
