Carolyn Francis Lafferty passed away peacefully in her sleep November 3, 2020 after a lengthy struggle with a variety of health issues.

She was born Carolyn Francis Willcox in Billings, Montana, March 14, 1936, the only child of Ed and Sabra Willcox. She then spent the majority of her childhood in Johnstown, Colorado, where her parents owned a home in the downtown district for over 50 years.

She married Lyle L. Lafferty. They lived in Denver where they raised their family. Lyle and Carol went their separate ways after 30 years together and Carol then lived in Ft. Collins, Evans and, finally, Greeley’s Good Samaritan Society Bonnell Community, where she spent the past four years of her life under the care of skilled, kind-hearted staff.

Carol was a Christian who loved to read. She appreciated the beauty of art and nature. Her children, grandchildren and grand-dogs were the center of her life.

She is survived by Catherine C. Jorgensen and husband Mark, L. Edward Lafferty and wife Jill, L. Lynette Chilcoat and husband, Mike, plus granddaughters Brianna and Tara Lafferty, step-grandsons Nathan and Kevin Chilcoat and one step-great grandson, Aiden.

A small private memorial for immediate family will be held.
