Cecil Ybarra
September 3, 1923 – May 11, 2008 Age 84 Residence – Greeley
Cecil Ybarra was born in Holly, CO to Pablo and Eulilia Ybarra. Later, as a young man he moved to the Gilcrest area. On November 9, 1952 he married Cora Martinez in Greeley, CO.
Mr. Ybarra worked on farms in the Gilcrest area, and later retired from Ehrlich Motors. He enjoyed playing guitar and harmonica as well as visiting the Rodarte Center.
Survivors include a daughter and husband, Laura and Philip Mathis of Kersey, CO; 2 grandsons, Colin Mathis of Kersey, CO, and Michael Ybarra of Parachutte, CO; 2 granddaughters, Michelle Ybarra of Cedarridge, CO and Mellisa Ybarra of Parachutte, CO; 3 great grandchildren, Tamika, Terrence, and Rikki; 6 brothers, Abandio, Margarito, Nick, Nash, and Ernest all of Denver, CO and Paul of Oregon.
Preceded in death by his wife, Cora Ybarra; a son Richard Ybarra; a grandson, Mason Mathis; his parents and several brothers.
A private graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens. No visitation is scheduled.
