Cecilia Bleu Grinstead found herself embraced in God's steadfast love and unending peace on November 1st, 2023, at the tender age of 8. Already she is missed deeply by those who loved her most. Cee ran the race God put before her well—short as it may have been.
Cecilia was a lover of animals, a believer in unicorns, a graceful steward of this Earth's resources and a fierce warrior in her fight against cancer. During her last three years on this side of Heaven; Cee was a light and a constant source of strength for her family—as she fought an illness which ultimately took her body but could never diminish her indomitable spirit.
Our dear daughter leaves behind a legacy of unexpected lessons. Cee taught us how to be brave, how to properly run like a cheetah and the art of telling the best ghost stories. She reminds us how important a well-timed smile is and how little it matters what anyone thinks strange of the things that bring us joy. The sorrow of her passing will eventually fade into the years, but the joy she placed in our hearts will continue until we see her again; on a distant shore beneath God's glorious presence and peace.
In lieu of flowers, Cee's last wish was that a donation be made in her honor to the Wild Animal Sanctuary of Keenesburg, Colorado and Nurtured by Nature in Valley Center, California. Please make checks payable to Samantha or Justin Pierce and include "Cecilia Bleu Grinstead Memorial Fund" on the memo line.
Thank You
