Charles Edward Gurley, 74, of Greeley, passed away Monday, March 12, 2012 at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. Charles was born October 10, 1937 in Huntsville, Alabama and was raised by his grandparents.
In 1977, he married Loralee Gayde in Michigan. They enjoyed 35 wonderful years together. Charles worked for Pederson Toyota/Volvo in Fort Collins for many years. He loved to fish and collect Budweiser memorabilia and eagles. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Loralee, his sons, Timothy and Richard; daughters, Debbie, Sally, Michelle and Jayne; a brother, Jim; a sister, Molly; and several grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, 2 sons, Thomas and Gary and a daughter, Gail.Charles' wishes were to have no services at this time.
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so, He put his arms around you and whispered "Come with Me". With tearful eyes we watched you suffer and fall away, although we couldn't bear to lose you we could not ask you to stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands were laid to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us that he only takes the best.
