Christian DeBaun, 46 of Longmont, Colorado died on Tuesday March 15, 2011 in Wellington, Colorado.
He was born on August 17, 1964 in Cooperstown, New York to Peter & Patricia (Burger) DeBaun.
Christian graduated from Canon City High School in 1983. He later attended Northeaster Junior College in Sterling, Colorado where he earned his degree in Landscape and Horticulture. He was well known in the landscape & nursery business and at the time of his passing he worked with the Boxelder Tree Farm in Wellington. He was a member of the Longmont Elks Club and a long time supporter of the American sheep industry through his culinary skills.
Survivors include his mother, Patricia DeBaun of Cooperstown; 2 sisters, Laura Stevens & husband Tom and Eleanor DeBaun all of Cooperstown; a brother, John DeBaun & wife Pati of Park City, Utah; 4 nieces, Nicole Hager, Amanda Stevens, Melinda Crist & Sadie DeBaun; 4 nephews, Christopher & Scott Stevens, Jordan Crist & Finn DeBaun; a great niece, Lyla Mae Dawson; a great nephew, Avery Pete Hager and the Harold Harper family of Eaton.
A funeral service to celebrate Christian's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow and Christian's urn will be buried at a later date in the Eaton Cemetery.
