Clark B. Schilke, 57 of Eaton, died on Thursday April 23rd, 2009 at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.
Clark was born September 18, 1951 in Williston, ND, the son of Harold and Roberta (Anderson) Schilke.
He was raised on the family farm and graduated from Grenora High School in 1969. In 1974 he graduated from Valley City State College with a degree in music education. As a young man Clark enjoyed participating in sports and music.
Clark married Rebecca Jane Clark on June 16, 1973 in Valley City, ND. He taught in the Turtle Lake - Mercer school district. In 1978 they moved to Colorado. He worked for and retired from Loveland Industries in Greeley, CO.
He accepted Christ as a young boy and was involved in his church through music ministry and Bible study.
In 1995 he was a recipient of a multiple organ transplant which significantly extended the quality and length of his life.
Clark is survived by his two children Tara Jane Garza and her husband Moses, Loveland, CO and Travis, Eaton, CO; mother Roberta (Joe) Hongerholt, Williston, ND; brother Grant (Kim) Schilke, Williston, ND; and their children Aaron (Kaela) Schilke, Wichita, KS; Amanda (Curtis) Mosher, Fairmount, ND; Megan Schilke, Williston, ND; and former brother and sister in laws Gary (Carol) Clark and their children Joshua, Daniel, and Alicia, Fargo, ND; Dennis Clark, Cavalier, ND; and Kathryn Jo (David) Pfeifer and their children Jared, Wade, and Hailey, Dillion, CO.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents Martin and Grace Anderson and Herman and Marie Schilke.
The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday April 29th at the Evangelical Free Church in Eaton, CO, 1325 3rd Street, with Rev. Craig Kirkpatrick and Rev. Gibb Green officiating. Burial will be at the Eaton Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday at the church.
