Clyde A. Vair
July 8, 1937 – October 28, 2007 Age 70 Residence: Eaton, Colorado
Clyde Vair was born to Clyde E. & Ethel (Nosler) Vair in Denver, Colorado. After graduating from Arvada High School, he then graduated from Colorado A & M., now known as Colorado State University. He was the dairy herdsman at Colorado State University for ten years and then successfully operated his own Jersey cow dairy north of Severance until he retired in 1989. In Semi-retirement he became involved with sheep and sheep dogs. He loved to hunt and fish, especially teaching the grandkids all he knew about fishing and spending time with his family at their cabin in Crystal Lakes.
He married Sharon (McCargo) Vair in 1962 in Colorado Springs, Colorado and moved to the Northern Colorado area where they shared their love of cattle. Clyde loved critters of all types and sizes, family and woodworking. He was a member of the Farmhouse Fraternity and the Dairy Shrine Club, the American and Colorado Jersey Cattle Clubs and the Rocky Mountain Natural Colored Sheep Breeders Association. He was a supporter of 4-H activities, the Colorado Youth Foundation and the Estes Park Wool Market.
He died at Poudre Valley Memorial Hospital on Sunday, October 28 following a brief hospitalization.
Survivors include his mother, Ethel Vair of Eaton; his wife, Sharon Vair of Eaton; a son and his wife, Michael and Ana Vair of Sterling; a daughter and her husband, Dianne & Randy of Pierce; six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a multitude of friends and old colleagues.
Preceded in death by: His father, Clyde E. Vair; brothers Kenneth Vair and Steve Vair.
Service: A memorial service to celebrate Clyde's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans.
Internment: Cremation & private family gathering.
