Cody Lee Van Doren, 25 of Arvada formerly of Greeley passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at his home.

Cody was born on October 9, 1990 in Greeley. He graduated from Northridge High School in 2009. He went on to attend the University of Northern Colorado where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2013. He was working on his Master’s degree at the time of his passing. He was a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. He worked for SCL Health as a computer analyst.

Survivors include his parents, Robert “Bob” and Michelle Van Doren of Greeley; 2 sisters, Alyssa and Bryley Van Doren both of Greeley; his grandparents, Maxine Van Doren of Greeley, Ethel Beckey of Greeley and Richard Beckey of California; an aunt, Robynn Scheehle of Douglas, Wyoming; an uncle, Scott Beckey of Greeley; 5 cousins, Misty (Mike) Zahrowski, Kristy Van Doren, Brandon Scheehle and Laci Scheehle all of Douglas, Wyoming and Paula (Robert) Durrance of Greeley and numerous extended family.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert “Bob” Van Doren Sr., a sister, Kelsi Colton and his great grandparents.

Cody was known and loved by many family and friends. Cody was the most selfless, caring, soft hearted and funny person. Cody achieved more in his short time than many will ever accomplish.

A funeral service to celebrate Cody’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 7, 2016 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Interment will follow at the Linn Grove Cemetery where his grandfather is buried. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
