Connie J. Cordes, 50, of Platteville, Colorado died on Sadurday, April 1, 2006 at the Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit in Greeley, Colorado.
She was born on July 6, 1955 in Tacoma, Washington to Clifford and Ada (Sands) Hoover.
Connie graduated from the Auburn Adventist Academy in Auburn, Washington. She later married Dale Cordes on January 9, 1977 in Enumclaw, Washington. The couple moved to Greeley in 1998 where they lived until 2004. In 2004 they moved to Platteville.
Mrs. Cordes was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed making crafts, drawing, oil painting, gardening and cross stitch.
Mrs. Cordes worked for 2 Peas In A Pod Catering and ABC West Daycare in Greeley. Prior to working at ABC West she worked as a C.N.A. in Ft. Collins, Colorado for RVNA and a nursing home.
Survivors include her husband, Dale Cordes of Platteville; 2 daughters, Kathleen Cordes of Taiwan and Jessica Cordes of Centennial, Colorado; 3 sons, Aaron Cordes of Puyallup, Washington, Joshua Cordes and Jeremy Cordes both of Greeley; her mother, Ada Hoover of Puyallup, Washington; 4 sisters, Linda Buras of Puyallup, Washington, Marilyn Phillips of Bonney Lake, Washington, Carrie Reimann of Sumner, Washington and Melody Kakuschke of Auburn, Washington; 4 Brothers, David Hoover of Florida, Mark Hoover and Tim Hoover both of Bonney Lake, Washington and Daniel Hoover of Tacoma, Washington and 10 Step Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Clifford Hoover.
A memorial service to celebrate Connie's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 7, 2006 at the Greeley Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1002 21st Avenue.
