Cooper Christopher Nider, affectionately known as “Coop,” “Bubba,” and “Turkey,” passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the age of 19.

Born on May 31, 2007, in Greeley, Colorado, Cooper was the beloved son of Jonathan C. Nider and Megan (Connely) Gollobith. He graduated from Eaton High School and continued his education at Chandler-Gilbert Community College in Chandler, Arizona. While in Arizona, Cooper was a member of Grace Community Church in Tempe.

Cooper embraced life with enthusiasm and had a deep love for the outdoors. Whether he was fishing, hunting, playing golf, lifting weights (or, as he liked to say, "getting jacked"), or spending time with family and friends, he lived each day to the fullest. Most of all, though, Cooper loved being on the field.

From a young age, Cooper was passionate about athletics. He played football, baseball, and wrestled, developing not only his talent but also his strong work ethic and competitive spirit. Throughout his athletic career, he earned numerous individual accolades and was part of six state championship teams at Eaton High School.

Cooper went on to pursue his lifelong dream of playing college baseball, where he continued to thrive as both an athlete and an exceptional young man. His determination, humility, and love for the game left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His infectious spirit, kind heart, and unforgettable personality will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his mother, Megan (Austin) Gollobith; his father, Jon (Samantha) Nider; his sisters, Savannah and Charlee Gollobith, and Eastyn Nider; his grandparents, Doug and Jean Connely, Roy and Stacey Gollobith, Rolland and Cindy Nider, and Mark and Billie Charf; his great-grandmothers, Verneta Connely, Judy Gueswel, and Geri Weiss; as well as numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

A Celebration of Cooper's Life will be held at Eaton High School, 1661 Collins Street in Eaton, at the football field located behind the school.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cooper’s memory to the Cooper Nider Memorial fund at the Bank of Colorado. The family intends to use the funds to create a scholarship honoring Cooper’s memory.
