Obituary

In memory of Cynthia "Cindy" Ann Flot born June 15, 1952, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to Emanuel Heinze from Colorado and Dorothy Jean Doty from Washington. Cindy passed away on March 16, 2026, at her home in Greeley, Colorado.

Cindy is survived by her brother, Jim Heinz; sister Debbie Hink; daughter Paula Hawley (Steve Bell); daughter Tammy Patch (Wesley Patch); son Chris Flot (Rochelle Carlisle); and loving companion Edward Stevenson. Cindy had 4 grandchildren Austin Kutcher (Kayley Kutcher), Beau Hawley, Jordan Patch and Jadyn Hawley.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents; husband George Wadsworth; husband Marvin "Gus" Flot; and grandson, Chance Flot.

This is where the story begins for Cindy Flot. After being born in Michigan, her family moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming and eventually ended up in Greeley, Colorado. Cindy attended Greeley High and later married her first husband, George Wadsworth, and ended up having a strong and sassy daughter, Paula, in October. Cindy became widowed and thereafter married Gus Flot on June 7, 1974. Cindy and Gus brought into this world a smart and spunky girl, Tammy, in October and then in May of 1978 their fun, loving, and energetic son, Chris, was born. The five of them made their home in Greeley, Colorado. Gus and Cindy moved to Arizona in August of 2000. After 38 years with Gus, the love of her life, passed in November of 2011. Cindy moved back to Greeley, Colorado in the spring of 2012. Cindy could never sit still, so she worked part time at Agfinity, and eventually connected with her life-long friend and now loving companion Ed Stevenson in the summer of 2013.

Cindy had a great love for furniture and that is where she started her working career. She worked at Evans Furniture for many years and eventually ended up at Larrabee's in Ft Collins. Cindy and Gus enjoyed hanging out with friends at the Evans VFW and LaSalle Eagles. These two places meant the world to Cindy, and she made many life-long friends. Cindy served on the Women's Auxiliary at the VFW and was a trustee at the LaSalle Eagles. In Cindy's spare time you could find her working in her yard planting flowers, at the local casino playing Buffalo Run slots, making krautburgers, homemade chicken and noodles or green chili, on a cruise ship, or shopping for shoes. Cindy will be greatly missed, but most importantly, remembered by many family and friends for her contagious smile, competitiveness, infectious personality, and for the incredible pride she had in her children and grandchildren, who were her greatest joy.

A Celebration of Cindy's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026, at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 11th Avenue, in Evans.
