Cynthia Lee (Smith) Shrout, 59, was heaven bound on Saturday, October 11, 2014. She was born in Greeley, CO on July 21, 1955 to Jennie and Don Smith. Cindy graduated from Greeley West High School in 1973. She retired from the Colorado Department of Transportation in 2006. She then became the secretary at Crossroads Christian Church in Evans until her health declined in 2014.

She was an active spinner, weaving, knitting, crocheting and numerous other handicrafts. Her family appreciated her canning skills as she loved to share.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Michael; sisters, Gail Sheehy and Traci Klovdahl of Greeley and Kerri Wikstrom of Las Vegas, NV; step-brothers, Kenny Cook and Randy Cook; mother-in-law, Marilyn Shrout of Centennial, CO along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews plus two great-nieces.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 p.m., Sat., Oct. 18 at Crossroads Christian Church, 3451 23rd Ave., Evans. A potluck dinner will follow the service, please bring a favorite dish.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Crossroads Christian Church or to the American Cancer Society.
