David Lloyd Bagley, Md's Obituary
On January 12, 2026, David Lloyd Bagley passed away suddenly in the arms of his wife and surrounded by family at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado.
David was born on November 12, 1937, in Medina County, Ohio to Lloyd W Bagley and Beryl (Egner) Bagley. Before graduating from Medina High School in Medina, Ohio in 1953 he had achieved a cherished Eagle Scout Award in 1953.
He graduated from Allegheny College, Meadville, PA in1959. He received a B.S. Pre Medicine degree followed by an M.D. degree from Temple University Medical School, in Philadelphia, PA in 1963.
On June 24, 1961, he married Michaeleen (Dunay) Bagley. They consequently had two sons: David
Michael 1962 PhD Environmental Engineer (wife Catherine (Kiekhaefer) and Scott William 1966 PhD Mathematics (wife Cindy Beth (Rowell). He is also survived by 4 Grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
David did his internship at Madigan Army Hospital, Ft Lewis, Washington 1963-1964. He was a Medical Officer in the US Army from1964-1967 including one year in Viet Nam. David was a recipient of Army Commendation Medal.
He had a private Family Practice in Eaton, CO July 1967- July 1997. He was the President of the Colorado Academy of Family Physicians 1975-1976, a delegate to American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) 1978-1988, and a member AAFP Committee on Professional Liability for 5 years, which he chaired the 5th year. He was President of the Weld County Medical Society 1978-1980,
A delegate to Colorado Medical Society and a member of Colorado Medical Malpractice Task Force (appointed by governor) 1987-1988.
David was involved in Boy Scouts of America for 12 years ; Cub Master 6 yrs; Scout Troop Committee 6 yrs. Treasurer, at the First Congregational Church of Greeley for 15 years from 1979-1994, as well as a member of the Eaton Lions Club.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Good Samaritan Society - Water Valley Senior Living Resort, 805 Compassion Drive, Windsor CO 80550.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Dr. Bagley's name to the David Bagley, MD Scholarship Eaton Colorado High School, 211 First Street in Eaton, Colorado and to support the College of Osteopathic Medicine at University of Northern
