In Loving Memory of David Cabrera
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David Cabrera, a kind-hearted and adventurous soul, on August 20, 2024 at the age of 71. David passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories.
Born on November 9th 1952 in Sterling, Colorado, David was known for his genuine compassion and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life. His heart was as big as the outdoors he so loved, and his joy came from spending time in nature, whether camping beneath the stars, casting a line on a quiet lake, or perfecting his aim at the shooting range. These hobbies were more than just pastimes; they were ways for him to share his love of life and adventure with those around him.
David is survived by (Children from oldest to youngest) Bobbie Cabrera, Joseph Cabrera, Braeden Cabrera, Kristin Cabrera. (Siblings) Bob Cabrera, Mary Quintana. David enjoyed spending time with family over a meal and he cherished every moment spent with them, this would also include a peaceful fishing trip, a weekend camping under the open sky, or simply sharing stories around a campfire. His love for the outdoors was infectious, and he passed this passion on to those close to him.
In his professional life, David was retired. But previously worked with Oxy petroleum where his dedication and kindness left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike. His friendly nature and boundless generosity touched the lives of many, and he always made time to lend a helping hand or offer words of encouragement.
Though he has left us too soon, we will carry with us the lessons he taught us about love, kindness, and living life fully. His adventurous spirit, his love for the outdoors, and the joy he brought to others will never be forgotten.
A celebration of David's s life will be held on September 6th 2024. Starting at 5pm at the LaSalle Depot. Located at 101 Todd Ave LaSalle Colorado 80645.
