David Lee Coyle, 62, of Evans, passed away February 5, 2011 in Greeley. David was born March 7, 1948 to Forrest and Esther (Jones) Coyle in Boulder Colorado. David enlisted in the US Army in 1966 and served 3 years until 1969. On August 28, 1971, David married Susan (Sue) Fox in Escodido, California. He and Sue lived in many different places and eventually settled in Evans in 1991. In 1972, he enlisted in the US Navy. While on active duty, David served on board the USS Schofield, USS Meyerkord, USS Jarrett, USS Kirk, USS Hammond, USS Enterprise, USS Roark, USS Chandler, and USS O'Callahan He retired from the Navy in 1991 with the rank of ATC. David drove truck for many years after retiring from the Navy and was most recently employed by BR&B Services. As a volunteer, David drove the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots' Association museum to several locations. His hobbies included restoring cars, building model boats and he held a private pilot license for a time. David attended the Evans United Methodist Church. David enjoyed tinkering in his garage. He also loved camping, watching the Denver Nuggets and the Colorado Rockies and spending time with his Grandchildren. David is survived by his wife, Sue Coyle, a daughter Sheri and her husband Nick Vasquez of Greeley, his mother, Esther Noreen, 2 brothers; Fritz and wife Phyllis Coyle of Nebraska, Cary and wife Janet Noreen of Colorado, 3 sisters; Penny and husband David McClain of Loveland, Colorado, Vicky and husband Beal Holland of Milliken, Colorado, and Kathy Holland of Loveland, Colorado, 3 grandchildren; Dustin and Cheyenne Jackson, and Kyler Vasquez. David was preceded in death by his step-father James Noreen, and his brothers Teddy Ivey and Michael Noreen. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 10th, from 4-7 p.m. at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Ave., Evans, Colorado 80620. Services will be held on Saturday, February 12th at 11:00 a.m. at the Evans United Methodist Church, 619 39th Street, Evans, Colorado.
