David Cruz III, aged 67, of Fort Lupton, Colorado passed away at North Colorado Medical Center on Thursday, April 3, 2025.

David was born on November 27, 1958; he was the son of David Cruz Jr. and Sylvia Griego (Macias) and the brother to 2 siblings. David grew up in Northglenn, Colorado where he graduated from Northglenn High School.

David Cruz III is preceded in death by his father David Cruz Jr.

David is survived by his son David Cruz IV his wife Jessica. He is also survived by his two sisters, Margaret (Charles) Stover of Fort Lupton, CO and Barbara Chavez of Henderson, CO; as well as numerous nieces Rosemarie Shearston, Gina LaGuardia, Angela Barboza, Andrea Chavez, Alysse Medina, and Alexandra Chavez in addition to 7 grand nieces and nephews.

His favorite activities were attending stock car races, auto mechanics, boating, fishing, watching sports car races, and golf cart repair. David was fun to dance with. He had an infectious laugh and liked to spend time with friends, neighbors, and enjoyed helping others.

David worked at the Climax Molybdenum CO Henderson Mill for several years in mining operations and became a safety director. In 1998, he was a seminar industry speaker who shared his company's behavior-based safety initiatives. He later retired and formed the "Cruzin' Mobile Golf Cart Repair" small business in Chowchilla, CA. After organizing the first Cruzin' Carts Christmas Parade in 2020 during COVID, the Green Hills golf neighborhood carries on the annual tradition every Christmas.

The funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 26th at the Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 1843 W 52nd Ave, Denver, CO

Committal - 12:30pm at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, 12801 W. 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, CO
Drive individually to the cemetery and join others just after the front gate entrance and follow cars to parking of the Madonna mausoleum next to the small lake.

Reception - The family invites you to return to Guardian Angels Catholic Church for a reception lunch from 1:00pm - 2:30pm in the cafeteria adjacent to the gym. Parking and entrance is on the east side of the property.
