Obituary

David Lee Korf, 51, of Greeley, died on Saturday, April 7, 2007 at the Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit in Greeley, Colorado.
He was born on May 22, 1955 in Yuma, Colorado to Alfred and M. Marie (Clark) Korf. David was raised on a farm North of Yuma and spent several years farming with his father. Mr. Korf graduated from Yuma High School in 1973 and he later attended N.J.C. in Sterling, graduating in 1981. He also attended Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, majoring in Civil Engineering.
David married the love of his life, Linda Wagner, on February 26, 1983 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Greeley.
Over the years, David held various jobs as his health would allow. David made friends everywhere he went with his outgoing, friendly personality. Many people have said that he was a nicest man they have ever met. He always put others first before himself.
David was a true blessing from God that touched our lives and taught us invaluable lessons that will live on in our hearts. He met every adversity with courage, patience and perseverance. His whole joy in life was spending time with his family, especially his children, Karissa and Mackenzie. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Greeley and an avid Broncos Fan.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Korf and daughters, Karissa Leigh Korf and Mackenzie Rae Korf all of Greeley; his mother, Marie Korf of Yuma; his sister Peggy McCall and her husband, David of Eckley, Colorado; nieces, Carrie Farner and her husband Kevin of Yuma, Anne Ptacnik and her husband John of Yuma, nephew, Mark McCall of Goodwell, OK; and a great niece, Amelia Grace Ptacnik of Yuma; parents-in-law, LaVerne and Grace Wagner of Iliff; sister-in-law Laverna Padilla and Goddaughters and nieces Katie and Kara Padilla of Sioux Falls, SD; brother-in-law Dennis Wagner, wife Cindy; children Kristyn, Ryan and Jared of Iliff; brother-in-law Darrin Wagner of Iliff and daughter Alyssa of Mead, Colorado. He is preceded in death by his father, Alfred Korf and his brother, Gary Korf.
A funeral service to celebrate David's life and commerate his step into eternity with our Lord will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 3000 35th Avenue in Greeley. Interment Linn Grove Cemetery. There will be a prayer service beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation will be held prior to the prayer service from 4:00 until 6:30p.m. on Tuesday at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans.
