David Howard Strong, 62, of Greeley, died on December 26, 2007 at the Poudre Valley Hospital in Ft. Collins.
David Strong was born March 12, 1945 in Greeley, Colorado, to Ralph and Virginia Strong. David graduated from Greeley High School in 1963. Following graduation, David attended college at Colorado University and then Colorado State College, where he lettered in swimming. David Strong married Dorothy Meyer in 1967, having four children before divorcing in 1990. The bulk of David's professional career was spent as a commodity broker and insurance agent. David loved his horses, target shooting, the outdoors, and swimming. A beloved father and friend, his jovial spirit and kindness will be missed.
David is survived by a son, William Strong and wife Stephanie of Springfield, Missouri; a daughter, Elizabeth Strong of Greeley, Colorado; a son, Matthew Strong of Greeley, Colorado; his grandchildren Ireland, Patrick, Joshua, and Jamie, all of Springfield, Missouri, and a brother, Charles Strong of Ranchos de Taos, New Mexico. David was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Philip Strong, and a daughter Andrea Eve Strong.
A funeral service to celebrate David's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the services. Interment will be in the Evans Cemetery.
