Obituary

David Allan Thoren, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.

He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on February 11, 1953, to Victor and Katherine (Peterson) Thoren. David came to Colorado with his family in 1967 and graduated from West High School in Greeley. After graduating in 1971, he did a lot of creative carpentry work, as well as working for home builders and doing various remodeling projects for his family and friends.

He and his brother, Rick, along with 2 other friends sang in a gospel group called Gospel Train. He was a gifted guitarist and played with various music groups, church meetings, and weddings, as well as for fun with family and friends.

He attended Christ for the Nations in Dallas, Texas and graduated in 1995 with a diploma in Practical Theology. After that, he went on several mission trips to Mexico, South American and Germany to help them with building projects.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Katherine Thoren, his brothers, Victor Eugene Thoren and Richard Thoren.

He is survived by his sisters, Janice Day, Shirley Knowlen, Beverly Jackson and Marilyn Brooks, his sister-in-law, Becky Thoren, nieces, Katie Weimer, Holly Thoren, and Christina Horn.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of All Nations, 630 47th Avenue in Greeley.
