Debbie Heroy, 54 of Ault, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at the Swedish Medical Center in Denver.
She was born on April 21, 1959 in Denver, Colorado to Mervin and Patricia (Cartlidge) Apple. She lived most of her younger years in Fort Lupton where she was active in 4-H through high school and her parents were also 4-H leaders. She graduated from Fort Lupton High School in 1977. She married Michael Heroy on June 11, 1982 in Fort Lupton. The couple has lived in Ault since 1995. Debbie was known as "Mom" to many of her children's friends.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Heroy; one daughter and her husband, Melissa Heroy and Jake Weis; 2 sons, Matthew and Todd Heroy; one sister, Kathy Martin and 2 brothers, Roger and Randy Apple. She is preceded in death by her parents, Merv and Pat Apple.
A memorial service to celebrate Debbie's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church of Platteville, 316 Elizabeth Avenue in Platteville.
