Obituary

Dennis Lee Daniel Peña, 68, of Evans, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at his home.

He was born April 1, 1957, in Julesburg, Colorado to Rodolfo Peña and Guadalupe Infante.

He served in the United States Army for 30 years as well as worked at the Colorado Air National Guard Base for 28 years. Dennis enjoyed working on cars, Harleys, and being a grandpa (Papu).

Survivors include his sons, Daniel Lee Peña and Chris (Ashley) Padilla, daughters, Jessica Peña, Salina (Lino) Tapia, Clarissa Rangel, and Lynette Horner, a brother, Rudy Peña, sisters, Lupe Casias, Angel (Joe) Holt, Emma (Robert) Peña McCleave, Esther (Juan) Dominguez, and Eloise (Roy) Rocha, 26 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Rodolfo and Guadalupe Peña, a brother, Gavin Peña, and a sister, Anna Mancha.

Visitation will be held 9:00-11:00 a.m., Monday, August 25, 2025, with funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. at the Mosaic Church, 3451 23rd Ave, Evans, CO 80620.

Graveside services with full Military Honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
