Diane Marie Huggins Borys passed away early the morning of April 8th, 2009 at the age of 57, after a 20-month battle with ovarian cancer. Diane was born on October 27th, 1951 in Geddes, South Dakota to Glen and Viola Huggins. She was a 1969 graduate of Geddes High School. In 1973, Diane received a degree in Home Economics from South Dakota State University. Diane married Richard M. Borys in 1976 in Geddes, South Dakota. After living in Minnesota, Diane moved to Greeley, CO where she and Rich had son Chad and daughters Moria and Teresa. Diane lived a kind and passionate life dedicated to her family. She was an exceptional mother who always put her children first. She spent much of her time cultivating her knowledge and collection of antiques and was one of the original antique vendors at Antiques at Lincoln Park. Diane also greatly appreciated craftsmanship and enjoyed sewing, cooking, and gardening. Diane is survived by her husband, Richard; her son, Chad (26), of Seattle, WA; her two daughters Moria (24) and Teresa (21), both of Fort Collins, CO; father Glen; sisters Lila and Glenda; brothers David, Tim, Pat, and Ben; and her loving dog, Muffin. She is preceded in death by her mother Viola and her brother Lee. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2009 at the Moser Funeral Service chapel in Evans, CO. Services will be held in Geddes, South Dakota beginning with visitation at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13th at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Geddes with the Recitation of Rosary following at 7:00 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 on Tuesday, April 14th at the church. Interment will follow at the Geddes City Cemetery.
