Dolores Lucy (Lozano) Lucero, 77, died at home Friday, March 1, 2019 surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Lucero was born July 10, 1941 to Nancy Acosta and Daniel Lozano, in Huntley, Wyo., the fourth of seven children.
She married Felix “Delmo” Lucero on Sept. 23, 1963 in Greeley. He died October 25, 1996.
Mrs. Lucero graduated Greeley Central High School in 1960, growing up most of her life in Weld County. She was a homemaker sharing her love and devotion to her children and provided home health services to many families throughout the years. She enjoyed traveling to Oregon to be with her daughter, visiting with all of her extended family, raising her beautiful grandchildren, and providing love and support to everyone she knew.
Survivors are a daughter, Michelle (Jerry) Cordova of Prineville, Ore.; four sons, Tony Martinez of Ault, Kenny (Debbie) Martinez, Daren (Isabelle) Lucero, and Paul (Roxye) Arellano, all of Greeley; two sisters, Mary Sifuentes of Greeley and Kathy (Ernest) Green of Colorado Springs; two brothers, Juan Jimenez of Commerce City and Jessie Lozano of Denver; 18 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Preceded in death are her parents; husband; a son, Dion Lucero; sister, Ruth Rodriguez, and brother, Rudy Lozano.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, 267 4th St., Ault. Interment will be at the Ault Cemetery, 253 3rd Street. (1:00 p.m. is correct time of service. Tribune and North Weld Herald printed incorrect time)
