Donald Eugene Bliven, 65, of Greeley passed away on Friday, June 3, 2016 in Greeley.

He was born on July 19, 1950 in Wray, Colorado to Jess W. “Pat” & Geraldine E. (Trent) Bliven. He graduated from Wray High School in 1968 then attended University of Northern Colorado. He married Diane Lea Niemczyk on June 10, 1972 at St. Peters Catholic Church.

Donald worked for Shupe Brother’s Trucking in Greeley and Wray Feed in Wray, Colorado. In 1975, Donald became an entrepreneur owning/operating Sandhills Company. He enjoyed watching the Big Bang Theory, walking the golf course and gathering golf balls, and spending much time with his grandchildren whom he loved above and beyond all things. God broke the mold when He made you. A one of a kind man who will be missed.

He is survived by his wife Diane Lea Bliven, his sons, Benjamin T. Bliven of Parker, Texas, Joshua P. Bliven of Windsor, Colorado, Zachary J. Bliven of Greeley, and Adam L. Bliven of Greeley, Colorado, his daughter, Hannah M. D’Innocenzo of Washington DC., six brothers, Joe, Jack, Ron, Bill, Tom, Mark Bliven, and a sister, Carol Simmons, and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Patty Newton, his parents, Jess “Pat” & Geraldine Bliven.

Visitation will be held 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2016 and 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2016 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, Evans, Colorado 80620. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
