Stanley Donald Clark, 80 of Evans, Colorado died on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Fairacres Manor Nursing Home in Greeley. He was born 2 miles west of Gilcrest, Colorado July 27, 1929 to F. Stanley and Ruth Teller Clark. After farming with his father for many years he was employed at Great Western in Johnstown and Preston Steel in Evans. He finished his career at Harsh Hydraulics in Eaton where he worked for 15 years as a welder/mechanic until his retirement in 1998. He married Lola Ruppe on September 23, 1948, in Raton New Mexico. They celebrated 61 years together last year. He was diagnosed with Lewey Body Dementia on March 30, 2004. His wife Lola cared for him at home until 2009 when he entered Fair Acres Manor where he passed away May 1, 2010. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Lola Clark of Evans; 2 sons, Steven Clark and Michael Clark & wife Cathy, all of Windsor, a Grandson, Shawn of Windsor, two Granddaughters Michele Mares of Windsor and Melissa Wright of Severance and three Great Granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his Daughter, Sheryl Lynnette, in 1960, his parents, and his sister Doris Callen. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Evans for 11 years. Services will be held at Evans Methodist Church, 802 39th Street in Evans, May 5th at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Evans United Methodist Church.
