Donald Eugene Schmidt, 73, of Greeley died Friday August 19, 2011 at Life Care Center of Greeley.
He was born April 4, 1938 in Windsor, Colorado. Mr. Schmidt moved to Greeley to open his barber shop in 1967. On September 30, 1973 he married Carole Jo Boehm. Mr. Schmidt loved fishing, Denver Broncos, and loved to Barber.
Survivors include his wife, Carole Jo; sons, Donald II and wife Constance & Jason and wife Terah; daughters, Dionne Martindale and husband Kent & Ladonna Allee; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother, Christ J. Schmidt and wife Markie and sister, Velma J. Rothe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Christ and Rachael Schmidt; brother Dale Schmidt and son-in-law Montgomery Allee.
A memorial service to celebrate Donald's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the Greeley First Church of the Nazerene, 2515 W. 16th Street in Greeley. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Moser Funeral service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. A reception will be held at the V.F.W. in Garden City immediately following the service.
