Donald Dean Kinzer, 84, of Greeley went to live with his bride, the love of his life, and the Lord on Friday, May 8, 2025.
Don was born November 25, 1940, in Albion, Nebraska to Leo and Mae (Bader) Kinzer.
Don loved spending time with his family.
He proudly served his country from July 15, 1958 – July 14, 1964. He served as a radio telegraph operator, sharp shooter, boxed and played football for the United States Marine Corps. He had numerous hobbies such as raising different birds, worms, tropical fish and koi. His passion was landscaping, working in his yard, growing flowers and up keeping his pond and waterfall. Don wore many hats from president of the teamsters union at the Schuyler Pack in Nebraska, working at the Denver Post, Rocky Mountain News and Greely Tribune along with construction, security guard and grounds keeper. His favorite job was being a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather.
Don is survived by his daughters, Tamara (Rod) Kinzer and Dawn Kinzer of Greeley. Grandchildren, Terry (Hannah) Kinzer of Greeley, Shyla (Ron) Martinez of Pine Bluffs, Canaan Babel, Courteney (Estevan) and Sydnee (Avram) Stracke of Greeley. Great Grandchildren, Korben (Abbi), Kashten, Kailen Martinez and Jesse Helms of Pine Bluffs, Beau Carlson and Skyla Garcia of Greeley. Sisters Sharon Heller of Wyoming and Judy (Curt) Harouff of Nebraska.
He is preceded in death by his Beloved Wife, Marjorie Kinzer, Parents Leo and Mae Kinzer, and 13 siblings.
Visitation will be held from 9-11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home.
