Donald Paul O'Donnell, 50, of Evans, died on Monday, March 26, 2007 at the North Colorado Medical Center. He was born on January 19, 1957 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to John W. and Mary Theresa (O'Toole) O'Donnell. Mr. O'Donnell was a vested member of the Millwright local union #2834 in Denver. He worked and supervised many projects throughout Colorado and Wyoming. He took great pride in his welding skills as he was very precise. He enjoyed being with good friends, playing his guitar and telling jokes and performing magic tricks as he was the life of the party. His hobbies include fishing, golf, sports and goose hunting. Don loved and adored his sons, Shaun Patrick and Corey Mackenzie. He rarely missed their baseball and football games and wrestling matches. He was very proud of them and their accomplishments and he will keep that pride and love with him through eternity. Survivors include 2 sons, Shaun Patrick O'Donnell and Corey McKenzie O'Donnell both of Evans and a sister, Carol Anne O'Donnell of Newport Beach, California and many family members in Toronto, Peterboro, Ontario, Canada. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mary O'Donnell. A traditional Irish Wake service will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at the Lopianos Restaurant in the Regency Hotel, 701 8th Street in Greeley. Memorial gifts may be made in lieu of flowers to the O'Donnell College Fund to be used for his son's education and they be sent in care of Moser Funeral Service, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, Evans, Colorado 80620. Don's family would like to thank all of the physicians and nurses and staff at North Colorado Medical Center and National Jewish Hospital in Denver for all of their loving care of Don and his family during his long illness.
