Donn E. Engel's Obituary
Donn E. Engel, 73, of Eaton passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Medical Center of the Rockies.
He was born on August 23, 1942 to Louis & Norma (Miller) Engel in Greeley, Colorado. He graduated from Eaton High School in 1960. In1964, he married his high school sweetheart, Sheilah Nelson. He was employed by the Larimer/Weld Irrigation Office in Eaton and recently retired after almost 50 years. He loved watching his grandchildren play high school and college sports, taking road trips to California, and going to Blackhawk.
Donn is survived by his wife, Sheilah Engel, his son Russ & wife Janine Engel of San Diego, his daughter, Gayle & husband Glenn Cunningham of Eaton, a sister, Janet Schwab of Greeley, and grandchildren, Katie, Kendra, Travis and Justin Cunningham.
He was preceded by his parents, Louis & Norma Engel.
A Celebration of Life Open House will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the First Congregational Church, 325 2nd Street in Eaton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made the Eaton Golden Association or the Honor Flight in care of Moser Funeral Service, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, Evans, CO 80620.
