Obituary

Dorothy Marie Grimaldo, 80 of Greeley, died on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at her home. She was born on June 14, 1928 in Trinidad, Colorado to Hilario and Antonia (Maes) Rebeterano. Dorothy married Silbestre A. "Silver" Grimaldo Sr. on January 16, 1953 in Colorado. The couple lived in Texas from 1953 until 1975 when they moved to Greeley. He preceded her in death on March 30, 2008. Mrs. Grimaldo was a devoted wife, loving mother and caring grandmother who dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was a longtime member of Victory Outreach of Greeley. Survivors include 2 sons Antonio Gallegos and wife Josie of San Angelo, Texas and Silbestre A. Grimaldo Jr. of Greeley; 2 daughters, Susie Rodriguez and husband David of Greeley and Margie Marie DeHerrera and husband Tim of Pueblo; 3 brothers, Thomas Rebeterano, Toby Rebeterano and Paul Rebeterano; 2 sisters, Ellenor Dominguez and Pauline Lopez; 7 grandchildren, Shirley Marie Esquibel, Susanna Santillano, Steve Gallegos, Brandie Lee Mendoza, Tim DeHerrera, Antoinette DeHerrera and Mike DeHerrera; 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and 12 brothers and sisters. A Christian burial service to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2008 at the Victory Outreach Church (2626 11th Avenue, Unit A) behind the Ace Hardware in Greeley. Interment Linn Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel. A prayer service will follow at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Victory Outreach Church. A special thanks to the staff of Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern Colorado and to Dr. Mitzi McGarr @ North Colorado Family Medicine and Dr. Ruth Jenson at the Heart Failure Clinic.
