Edith G. Roberts, 87 of Greeley passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 in Longmont, Colorado.
She was born December 14, 1923 to Ralph Dexter and Ethel (Houston) Kelley in Collinsville, Oklahoma. Edith married Eugene Roberts on September 17, 1944 in Brighton, Colorado. They later moved to Englewood, Colorado where they resided and raised their family.
Edith's main joy was her family. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and bowling. Her children and grandchildren especially smile at the memories of her lively spirit and Irish temperament. They remember lots of laughs with her and lots of love. Gramma's was always there and always will be with the family.
Edith is survived by her sons, Daniel & wife, Charlotte Roberts of Greeley, and Roderick Roberts of Loveland, Colorado, a sister, Eva & her husband Harry Kirkwood of Colorado Springs, Colorado, 6 grand-children: Charles Roberts, Annette Tedesco, Christine Roberts, Lori Yanish, Justina Roberts, and Caitlyn Roberts, 5 great-grandchildren: Alanna Roberts, Madison Roberts, Noah Yanish, Victoria Tedesco and Rory Roberts; a niece, Nancy Weatherly and a nephew, Steve Kirkwood. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Roberts, her parents, Ralph & Ethel Kelley, her stepmother, LeVeata Kelley, her grandmother, Nancy Yautsey and her great grandson, Benjamin J. Tedesco.
A funeral service to celebrate Edith's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Interment will be in the Mizpah Cemetery in Platteville. A private family visitation will be held.
