Obituary

Edna "Marie" Norbie, 93, of Greeley passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at the Bonnell good Samaritan Center in Greeley. Marie was born December 21, 1920 in San Francisco, California to Victor F. and Esther Marie (Palm) Adams. On June 7, 1947, she married Donald LeRoy Norbie in San Gabriel, California. They have lived in Greeley since 1970. Mrs. Norbie was a homemaker and a member of the Fellowship Chapel in Greeley. She was very active in teaching the bible. She was known for her hospitality and kindness and she was active in the hospitality program, Friends of International Students. She is survived by her husband, Donald Norbie, her sons, Dale Norbie of Lakewood and Douglas Norbie of Greeley, daughters, Donna Neilson of Canada and Dorothy Norbie of Denver, her brothers, Earl Adams of California and Edwin Adams of Temple City, California, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a brother in law, Kenneth Norbie and wife Ellie of St. Cloud, Minnesota. She is preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Esther Adams, a brother Evan and a son Daniel Norbie. A memorial service will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at the Fellowship Chapel, 2100 22nd Street in Greeley. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14th at the Linn Grove Cemetery in Greeley. Memorial gifts may be made to the Fellowship Chapel, 2100 22nd Street, Greeley, Colorado 80631.
