Edward DeVere Conlin, 83, of LaSalle, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colorado surrounded by his family
He was born August 31, 1939, in Greeley to James and Josephine (Bollig) Ambrose. He went to school at Big Bend in LaSalle and from there he went to College High School in Greeley. He graduated from LaSalle in 1957.
He met his wife, Marilyn Dyess in 1965 and they were married on June 17, 1967. They had two sons, Brock DeVere and Brent Edward.
Edward worked for UPRR on the bridge crew for 2 years. He then moved on to work at the State of Colorado Highway Department for 31 years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing and camping. His grandson kept him busy fishing in the summer. Edward loved playing baseball and was an excellent player. He spent many hours at his granddaughter's volleyball games and loved watching them. He was known to get out and talk with anyone who was around. He enjoyed his morning ritual coffee breaks.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, his 2 sons, Brock and Brent, his grandchildren, Logan, Kyleigh, Michael, Harper, Wyatt and Kassidy, a brother, James Conlin, a sister, Katherine (JoAnn) Craven and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his parents, James and Josephine Ambrose, a sister, Dorothy Mclaughlin, and brothers, William and Don Miller.
A Celebration of Edward's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at the Rancho VIP, 21150 Peckham Drive in LaSalle, Colorado. He will be dearly missed by all.
