Obituary

Edward A. Glendenning, 70 of Greeley, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the North Colorado Medical Center.

He was born on July 3, 1945 in Greeley to James Albert and Mary Eileen (Waefler) Glendenning.

Ed lived in Greeley for most of his life. He graduated from College High School. Following graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during the Vietnam Conflict. He received a Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Star for his service.

Mr. Glendenning married Linda Ann Chance in 1976 in Greeley. He worked as a truck driver beginning with Weld County Government then Anderson Sales and Salvage and later Big R Manufacturing.

He volunteered for the American Red Cross for 25 years and was also a past member of the Western Hills Volunteer Fire Department. Ed especially loved to spend time with his wife, children, grandchildren and enjoyed the outdoors and liked to camp and fish.

Survivors include his wife Linda Glendenning of Greeley; 2 sons and their wives, Andrew and Shawna Glendenning and Mark and Christine Glendenning all of Greeley; 3 grandchildren, Alexandra, Samuel and Emmett Glendenning all of Greeley; a brother and his wife, David and Peggy Glendenning of Greeley and a sister, Betty Asher of Cheyenne. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in law. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Glendenning.

A memorial service to celebrate Ed’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans.
