Edwin Dale Wiederspan, 96, of Evans, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025, surrounded by his family at his home.

Ed was born on July 21, 1928, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was the youngest son of Jacob and Mary Magdeline (Stroh) Wiederspan. The family moved to Fort Morgan in the fall of that year to begin farming. He attended both grade school and high schools in Ft. Morgan and graduated in 1946.

Mr. Wiederspan married Joyce Arleen Williams on August 27, 1950. To this union, 2 children were born. Cynthia Gail and Curt Wiederspan.

Ed worked on the family farm until 1953. He was also employed by the Great Western Sugar Company and also worked for Canfield Drilling Company for 60+ years. He was also a member of the Colorado National Guard from 1948 until 1955 and was discharged with the rank of Staff Sgt. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his daughter, Cynthia Sagel and his son, Curtis and wife LuAnn. There are 12 grandchildren; Robin & Janna Sagel, Stacey & Ron Mitchell, Rhonda Dwyer, Paula & Shane Flint, Kyle & Kerri Wiederspan, Casey & Melissa Wiederspan and Ryan Wiederspan; a special family friend, Flo Garcia; 10 great grandchildren, Chet, Caiden & Trey Dwyer, Dakota & Hudson Flint, Kinza Sagel, Kiana Mitchell, Peyton Mitchell, Maverick Edwin Wiederspan and Aliyah Marie Wiederspan.

A funeral service to celebrate Ed's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 11th Avenue in Evans. Interment will follow at the Evans Cemetery.
