Elizabeth (Beth) Ann Skouge Connell passed peacefully at her home after a long, courageous battle with cancer on May 11,2015. She was born on February 28,1953 in Sioux City, Iowa to Bernard (Bill) F. Skouge and Virginia Dahl Skouge. She married Charles J. (Chuck ) Connell on October 22,1977 in Sioux City.

Beth graduated from Central High School in Sioux City in 1971,and attended college in Phoenix, Arizona. She has been a resident of Colorado since 1977,and Greeley since 1981. She enjoyed her work in the restaurant industry for 16 years, including being the banquet manager at the Hilton Inn in Colorado Springs.

Beth was a realtor in Greeley for almost 30 years. She found great satisfaction in finding the best homes for clients and their families. She was a spectacular cook, attested to by all who had the pleasure of enjoying her cooking. She enjoyed gardening, especially her beautiful roses, bowling with her friends, and hosting parties for her family and friends.

She was the source of unconditional love for her family. Beth will always be remembered for kindness, her welcoming smile and her wonderful sense of humor.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Beth will be greatly missed by her husband, daughter Meghan Connell, son Timothy Connell, granddaughter Ashtyn Connell, grandson Ryker Molitor, all of Greeley; her mother Virginia Livermore of Sioux City; sister Jane (Larry) Turk of Greeley; brother Paul (Deborah) Skouge of Sioux City; sister Susan (Gary Kapp) McCollum of Greeley; brother Thomas (Nancy) Skouge of Greeley; and her nieces and nephews: Adam Turk, Jeremy Turk, Roni Kirchhevel, Heather Phipps, Holly Bradstreet, Andrew Skouge, Aaron Skouge, Christopher Miller and Allison Skouge.

A memorial service to celebrate Beth’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the First Congregational Church, 2101 16th Street in Greeley.
