Ella Mae White, 87 of Eaton, Colorado passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at her home in Eaton surrounded by family members.
Ella Mae was born on June 24, 1936, in Gill, Colorado to Karl and Edith (Eberhardt) Nieberger. She was a 1954 graduate of Eaton High School, and later that same year married David "Jake" White in Raton, New Mexico. She earned her bachelor's degree from Colorado State College in 1968 in Elementary Education.
Ella Mae was a long-time member of the Eaton Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the Evans V. F. W. Ladies Auxiliary Post #6624.
She is survived by her husband, Jake White of Eaton, a son, David Terry (Iris) White Jr. of Greeley, daughters, Terry Ann (Steve) Hinton of Eaton, and Annette Sue Adams and her special friend Gene Carlson of Kersey, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents, Karl and Edith Nieberger, and a grandson, Robert "Bobby" Wayne Williams.
A celebration of Ella Mae's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 16, 2024 at the Eaton First Baptist Church, 228 2nd Street in Eaton.
