Elsie Stricker, 97, of Greeley passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Life Care Center.

She was born July 13, 1920 to Fred & Marie (Wasemiller) Hergert in Russell, Kansas. She married Alex Stricker on March 24, 1937 in Fort Collins. He died on July 29, 1974. She worked for Joslins for over 30 years and retired from there. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and soon to be great-great-grandmother.

She is survived by her sons, Bob (Ilene), Del (Kaye) and Dennis (Denise) Stricker, grandchildren, Carrie (Bill) Walker, Janine (Jon) Moore, Michelle (Kyle) Komanich, Sherri (Rick) Poellet, Kimberly (Mark) Jones, Ryan Pollard, and Danielle (Tyson) Ballard, great-grandchildren, Courtney (Tom) Erickson, Cassandra (Tyler) Weber, Tyler and Megan Komanich, Nicole Moore, Lindsey and Emalee Poellet, Jordyn (Mitchell) Wilson, Cobi and Alina Jones, and Demery Ballard, brother, Robert (Arlene) Hergert, sister-in-law, Freida Hergert, sisters, Freida (James) Deines, and Helen Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Sharon Stricker, a brother, Raymond Hergert, a brother-in-law, Lynn Smith, a sister, Alvina Geisick and brother-in-law, Raymond Geisick.

A memorial service to celebrate Elsie’s life will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 3815 W. 20th Street, Greeley.
