Ernest “Ernie” Elmer Manuel, 68, of Greeley, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at his home.
He was born May 22, 1951 to Elmer & Lucy (Tremblez) Manuel in Albert Lea, Minnesota. He remained in Albert Lea through his high school graduation in 1967. On April 1, 1997, he married Sandra Steele in South Dakota. He has lived in Greeley since 2010.
Ernest loved many hobbies such as photography, building model trains, gas powered planes, hunting, and spending time outdoors or with friends and family. Ernie could fix anything.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy Manuel of Greeley, sons, Patrick (Kim) Everett of Albert Lea, MN, Jeremy (Elaina) Steele of Albert Lea, MN, daughters, Danielle Manuel of Albert Lea, MN, Jennifer (Casey) Hamilton of Flower Mound, Texas, and Nancy Casperson of New Hampton, IA, sisters, Jeanette & Kathy Manuel of Gerpinnes, Belgium, and Lori (Steve) Dugger of Atchison, KS, brothers, Jeff (Peg) Steele of Gibbion, NE, Charlie (Juanita) Steele of South Sioux City, NE, and Steve (Teresa) Steele of FL, 18 grandchildren, and many neighbors and beloved friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer & Lucy Manuel, and a sister, Mariette Tremblez.
A celebration of Ernie’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 2001 7th Street in Greeley.
