Esther Anne Patricia Thomas, 92, of Ault, Colorado, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

Anne was born on September 11, 1933, in Greeley, Nebraska, to Patrick and Elaine (Burke) McManus. As a child, her family moved to Denver, Colorado, where after high school, she met the love of her life, Lonnie Thomas. They were married on December 1, 1951, and built a life together in Texas.

Anne worked for The Gibraltar Life Co. in Dallas, Texas until 1969, when she, Lonnie and their 2 children moved to Greeley, Colorado. Anne then worked for the Woolco Department Store in Greeley eventually becoming a Regional Personal Supervisor for the F. W. Woolworth Company.

After retiring in 1996, Anne enjoyed gardening and volunteering at St. Mary Catholic Church in Greeley. She and Lonnie loved to travel, taking trips to New England, the Northwest and other areas, sometimes with their grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie; her parents, Patrick and Elaine; her brother, Jim; sister-in-law, Mary Nell; and great-grandchildren, Mason and Kepler Smith.

Anne is survived by her daughter, Janice (Bruce) Hanlon; son, Mark (Peggy) Thomas; grandchildren, Tyler (Megan) Hanlon, Grant (Carly) Hanlon, Jonathon (Brenda Jones) Thomas, and Jennifer (Michael Smith) Thomas; and great-grandchildren, Zoe and Ellie Hanlon and Aspen Thomas. Anne also considered her daughter-in-law Peggy’s children, Sean and Hailey Allen, as her step-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Anne's name.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with Recitation of Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m., on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 11th Avenue in Evans. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2222 23rd Avenue, Greeley, CO.
