Esther B. Achziger- Wilhelm, 101 of Greeley, died on Friday, August 26, 2011 at the Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit. She was born on January 9, 1910 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Jacob and Lena (Hill) Burkhart. Esther married Dan Achziger on April 2, 1933 in Greeley. He preceded her in death on January 23, 1972. She later married Theodore Wilhelm on August 19, 1973 in Greeley. He preceded her in death in October of 1990. Mrs. Wilhelm was a longtime member of St. Paul's Congregational Church and was honored in August of 2010 as the oldest member of the church. She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, crocheting, knitting and gardening. Survivors include 3 grandchildren, Jackie Wickstrom of Eaton, Steve Colich of Thousand Oaks, California and Alicia Colich of Aliso Viejo, California; a great grandson, Kyle Wickstrom of Eaton; a daughter in law, Betty Achziger of Eaton; a son in law, Milo Colich of Westminster, California. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Dan Achziger and Theodore Wilhelm; a daughter, Jane Colich; a son, Dan D. Achziger; a grandson, Dean Achziger; brothers, Jake, Aaron, Herman and John Burkhart and sisters, Lydia Rosenof, Lena Steinmark and Mary Dorn A funeral service to celebrate Esther's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at St. Paul's Congregational Church, 1525 43rd Avenue in Greeley. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans.
