Eugene Roy Hallock, born November 25, 1941 in Glasgow, Montana, passed away December 27, 2017 at Tru Hospice in Greeley, Colorado.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Margaret (Shelden) Hallock. He is survived by daughter, Nicole Hoffer (Tim) of Bozeman, MT, son Tyrone (Danielle) Hallock of Opheim, MT, grandchildren, Tia and Gage Hallock and Laird Hoffer.

He is also survived by his sister Shirley Luethe (Gary) of Long Beach, WA, and brother Lowell (Colleen) Hallock of Sheridan, MT, as well as his wife, JoAnne Hallock of Eaton, CO and her children, Carma Snapp, Rusty Huelle and Keila Huelle and grandchildren, Sheridan, Ethan, Hunter, Carson, and Keiton. He was previously married to Shari Carlson of Opheim, MT, the mother of Nicole Hoffer and Tyrone Hallock.

Gene lived much of his life in Montana, where he worked over the years as a high school business teacher, farmer, and truck driver. He loved to hunt the Big Sky state, and shoot the breeze with family and neighbors. Gene was a very affectionate and fun grandpa. His hugs were world-class.

He married JoAnne Huelle in 2002, taking him to Colorado where they built a glass art business together – “Snazzy Glass”. They met many friends and loved working and traveling together for the last 15 years. Gene always had a story to share, especially with his coffee buddies, along with a dose of good-natured ribbing. Gene was known in the neighborhood by all the kids who would call on him to fill their flat tires and basketballs.

Recently, he and JoAnne traveled to Washington D.C. where Gene enjoyed touring some of the nation’s best war history museums and veteran monuments. Gene held those who served our country in high esteem.

He will be missed greatly, and we know he is celebrating in heaven with his family and friends that have gone on before him.

The family would like to especially thank Tru Hospice for their outstanding care.

Per Eugene’s request, a private family Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
