Frances “Frannee” Thompson, 57 of Greeley passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015 at home surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born on July 1, 1958 in Fort Collins, Colorado to Manuel Joseph Lira and Benita Medellin.
Frannee graduated from Windsor High School in 1976. She married Bill Thompson on December 7, 1984 in LaPorte, Colorado.
Frannee was the owner/operator of Neon Moon Nail Salon in Greeley. She attended Hair Dynamics school and graduated October of 2012 and worked for various fabric stores through the years and was a fabulous seamstress. She also had Nana’s in home daycare for her grandkids. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, spending time with family at Bar B-Q’s and participated in Relay for Life.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Thompson of Greeley; her step father, Jose Santos Rodriguez; 3 sons, Russell Rodriguez, Jay Thompson and David Shultz; 3 daughters and their husbands, Casey and Jason Aviles, Desiree and Oso Pedraza and Deana and Jacen Kamtz; 8.5 grandchildren, Natasha, David, William, Leslie, Shyla, Kai, Rain, Aiden and Audrina (coming soon); 3 brothers and 5 sisters. She is preceded in death by her mother, Benita “Benny” Rodriguez and her father, Manuel Joseph Lira.
A memorial service to celebrate Frannee’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Greeley Baptist Temple, 1402 9th Street in Greeley. A reception will follow immediately after at the Triple S Event Center, 901 35th Avenue in Greeley. At Frannees' request she asked no one wear black.
