Frances Mary Ybarra, 64, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away on July 3, 2026, at North Colorado Medical Center.

She was born on May 13, 1962, in Greeley to Miguel and Cecelia (Maestas) Lujan. Frances graduated from Greeley West High School in 1980 and went on to work for Starpak and later Cleaning Authority. In 2005, she married Rojelio Ybarra in Greeley.

Frances was a loving, generous, and compassionate woman who was well known for her cooking and hospitality. Her home was always open to family, friends, and anyone in need. She had a special way of making people feel welcome, offering a warm blanket, a hot meal, and fresh tortillas, never turning anyone away. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her children and grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure.

She enjoyed collecting many things throughout her life, including pens, markers, DVDs, and glasses, and she especially loved her Pioneer Woman stoneware collection. Frances was also an enthusiastic Denver Broncos fan. Whenever the Broncos were playing, you could count on hearing her cheering them on, no matter where she was. She also had a well-known sweet tooth and enjoyed gummies and chocolates.

Frances is survived by her son, Rojelio Ybarra; her daughter, Francine Ybarra; her brothers, Mike (Victoria) Lujan and Larry Lujan; six grandchildren, Joshua, Janelle, Jayna, Jordan, Talia, and Ameanah; and one great-grandson, Ermias.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Miguel and Cecelia Lujan; her husband, Rojelio Ybarra; her son, Joshua; and her daughter, Cassandra.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Victory Outreach Church, 2626 11th Avenue B, Greeley, Colorado.
