Frank Charles Sheehy, 84, of Greeley, CO, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Fairacres Manor Nursing Home.
Frank was born October 11, 1940, in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Frank J. and Doris Clare (Harmon) Sheehy. He graduated from St. Mary's High School in Marshalltown, Iowa with a Navy ROTC scholarship. He attended Iowa State University and the University of Northern Colorado and earned his master's degree in accounting at Colorado State University.
Mr. Sheehy married Bonnie Evans in Marshalltown, Iowa in 1964. They adopted two children, Frank Paul and Madeline "Mimi". Bonnie passed away in 1972.
Frank entered the workforce as a C.P.A. at Touche-Ross in Denver. He later became the Accounting Manager at Gates Rubber Company. While at Gates, he met Lucretia Litchfield. They married on November 1, 1975. She passed away in 2005.
Frank and his family moved back to Greeley in 1974. He joined his father, Frank J. Sheehy at Sheehy and Sheehy CPAs, PC. They worked together until Frank J. passed in 1992. He continued the business alone after that.
Frank was active in St. Mary Catholic Church for many years. He loved sports and supported the Broncos, Rockies, Nuggets and the Chicago Cubs. He loved to gamble, especially in Las Vegas and Blackhawk. He always had lottery tickets up to the last week.
Frank was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Simpson. He is survived by his son, Frank P. (Christina) and their three children: Madison, Frank C., and Brad of Houston; his daughter, Madeline and granddaughter, Racheal of Englewood; his sister, Patti of Aurora; niece, Michelle of Niwot; his brother, Dave and nephews, D. J. and Eddie, and niece, Mary Alice, all of Greeley.
We wish to thank Fairacres for the care he received and especially Jacque Tremelling, his advocate for her concern, caring, and nurturing. She even got and then cashed in his lottery tickets for him.
