Obituary

Frankie Lou Ballard 83, of Evans, died September 14, 2015 at the Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern Colorado.

She was born on the family farm 12 miles north east of Akron, Colorado to Clarence C. & Frankie B. (Lucken) Campbell, the youngest of 7 children.

After attending small country grade schools, she attended and graduated from Akron High School in 1949.
She was married to Malachi E. Ballard in Rocky Ford, Colorado at her sister, Norma’s home on March 5, 1950.

Frankie worked office jobs in the years before children came along and various part time jobs afterward. She enjoyed being a homemaker and liked to sew, bake, walk and play cards. She also enjoyed participating in her New Comer’s Club and Quilting Club.

Frankie Lou and Mal traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and wintered in Yuma, Arizona during retirement. She was a baptized believer in the Lord and an active member of the Evans Methodist Church.

She is survived by sons Jim of Loveland, Keith of Greeley, daughters Sue of Frederick, and LuAnn of Greeley as well as 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 11:30 a.m. on Monday, September 21, 2015 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, Evans, Colorado 80620 with a lunch reception following at the Evans United Methodist Church, 602 39th Street in Evans.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Evans United Methodist Church in care of Moser Funeral Service.
